The Business Analyst - I at SquadStack is a vital role that combines business acumen with data analytics to drive informed decision-making and strategic growth. This role involves working closely with the client success team and multiple stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify growth opportunities, support data-driven strategies, and optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track business KPIs and analyze data funnels to identify growth and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during strategy formulation and implementation to meet data and analytics requirements.
• Translate business challenges into data problems and develop actionable insights.
• Identify and resolve customer friction points using scalable, data-driven solutions.
• Lead discussions on analytics planning, design, and execution across multiple teams.
• Streamline and automate processes to reduce time spent on data management and reporting.
• Influence strategic technology decisions leveraging data and analytics.

Key Technical Skills:

SQL, Python (basic to intermediate), Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Data Visualization, Metabase or similar BI tools, Data Warehouse Architecture, Inferential Statistics (Distributions, Hypothesis Testing, Regression, Classification)

Requirements:

• Strong SQL and Python skills with experience in data analysis.
• Experience with BI tools like Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and business intelligence architecture.
• Knowledge of inferential statistics and data modeling techniques.
• Proven ability to solve real-world problems using large, complex datasets.
• Good business and financial terminology understanding.
• Strong communication, task ownership, and multi-tasking skills.
• A passion for problem-solving and comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech., B.E., B.S., or B.A.) in quantitative fields like Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related sciences with 1-2 years in analytics.
• Alternatively, a master’s degree or MBA with 0-2 years of analytics experience.
• Domain expertise in areas such as FinTech, EdTech, Logistics, or related sectors is a plus.
